Shaila Visser is a gifted communicator known for her strategic leadership and passion for creating safe places to discuss life, faith, and God in an open and inclusive manner. Her deep desire for bringing people together has made her one of the “Top 100 Most Influential Christian Women in Canada”.

Shaila currently holds the position as CEO of Alpha Canada and is a key leader on Alpha’s Global Executive Team. In January, in addition to her current role, Shaila will take on the position of Chief Capacity Officer for Alpha International. She is the Executive Producer of both The Alpha Film Series and The Alpha Youth Film Series which filmed worldwide and is available in forty-five countries and in nineteen languages.

Believing in the importance of contributing to the community at large, Shaila serves on the Board of Directors of Regent College and the Damascus Road Foundation.

Shaila lives in Vancouver Canada with her husband, Ryan; a Vancouver Police Officer on the K9 Unit. They have two four legged family members, Blade and Talon.

Since 2003, John Pellowe has served as the Chief Executive Officer of the Canadian Council of Christian Charities (CCCC). CCCC provides support services and education to more than 3,400 member registered charities.

Prior to working in the charitable sector, John worked for the Bank of Montreal as a Commercial Account Manager and then the Ontario Market Manager - Independent Business in the Commercial Banking Headquarters. He later worked for Barclays Bank of Canada as a Senior Account Manager.

John is ordained and has earned four degrees including a BBA and MBA from Wilfrid Laurier University, an MDiv (Biblical Studies) from Tyndale Seminary, and a DMin (Christian Leadership) from Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary

He has studied governance and strategic leadership for nonprofits at both Harvard Business School and the University of Toronto’s Rotman School of Business, and theology at the Oxford University Summer School of Theology.

John has a number of publications which include: The Church at Work: A manual for excellent church-agency relations (Book: 2012), Serving as a Board Member (DVD: 2011, Book: 2012), Stewardship Handbook for Christian Ministries Volumes 1 & 2 Five Chapters (Book: 2012, 2013), and The Board’s Most Important Relationship (DVD 2015, Book 2016).

John also writes a blog (www.cccc.org/john), Christian Leadership Reflections, focused on strategic, organizational, and team leadership in Christian ministries, the personal life of a Christian leader, and leadership’s spiritual aspects.
